Selected work
Measurement and survey science. Survey design, sampling, psychometrics and measurement validity. I co-authored a methodological critique of the field-standard perceived-effort rating scale (Sports Medicine, 160+ citations).
Causal inference and experimentation. Experimental and longitudinal designs, repeated-measures and mixed-effects models, and Bayesian analysis — from lab studies to platform datasets with millions of users.
Insight partnership. For nearly two years I was the ongoing analytics partner to a long-term client, turning models of user persistence into decision-ready recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Rigor and governance. Human-subjects research ethics, sensitive-data handling, data-quality standards, preregistration and open science. As an ad hoc reviewer for JPSP and JEP: General, I evaluate and challenge other researchers’ designs.
